Following repair attempt, to the Port side hull plating IVO keel cooler inset. It was noted that the initially discussed weld repair was not feasible due to additional water ingress while preparing for weldment. Vessel REP contacted MI to notify of alternate repairs using schedule 80 pipe over the area to stop water ingress. This is a temporary repair and a permanent repair is required. Submit a repair plan for approval prior to operations and repairs.
All repairs are to be completed to satisfaction of attending Marine Inspector.
