Crop wasted metal back to good material of original thickness and renew equivalent to the requirements of ABS prior to carriage of cargo. 46 CFR 32.60-1(a)

Found a 1ft long crack on stern hull plating on the upper centerline extending from the deck downward in vicinity of rear center kevel. Submit repair proposal to and repair to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector prior to cargo operations.
