Where the cargo valve operating reach rods pass through a deck, gas tight stuffing boxes shall be fitted. The #2S, 2P and 3P cargo tank's operating valve reach rods leak vapor by the packing gland. Vessel to offload cargo and prior to re-loading make final repairs to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.
