Fuel systems for towing vessel main engines and generators must have a documented maintenance plan to ensure proper operation of the system. Vessel reported that upon striking dredge line, water was discovered in the fuel tank. Bottom of vessels hull and port fuel tank sustained a 4-5" hole.
