At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner or managing operator shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspections of the hull structure and its appurtenances, including the following: Inspection of the condition of the superstructure, masts, and similar arrangements constructed on the hull. MI discovered 03 4"x4" wooden support posts for upper deck excessively wasted on the base of posts; 02 posts port and starboard below upper deck staircase and 01 port forward. Upper deck fiberglass coating is delaminating and exposing raw plywood deck to the weather. Owner is to submit plan of repair to OCMI for approval and complete repair prior to carrying any passengers on the upper deck.
