A survey shall be made every time an accident occurs which affects the safety of the vessel. The survey shall be such as to insure that the necessary repairs have been effectively made and that the vessel complies in all respects with the applicable regulations. The vessel broke free from its mooring, resulting in the barge striking a pier causing damage in three locations, impacting the barge's seaworthiness. Areas of damage: 1. Bow, Starboard Rake outboard of the 2 1/4 transverse fame to the 3rd bulkhead. 2. Starboard 1 Void outboard from the 3rd bulkhead to the 3 1/2 transverse frame. 3. Starboard 5 Void transverse frame 33 and 34. Make permanent repairs to the three locating prior to carrying cargo.
