COMPROMISED. CRACKED WELD WAS FOUND, STARBOARD AFT UPPER OUTBOARD CORNER OF THE LAZERETTE AND DAYLIGHT WAS OBSERVED THROUGH THE CRACK. REPAIR TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ATTENDING MARINE INSPECTOR.

Structure- An existing vessel may be deemed by the OCMI, or TPO, to be in compliance... The vessel has been both in satisfactory service insofar as structural adequacy is concerned and does not cause the structure of the vessel to be questioned by either the OCMI or TPO. Vessel currently has a 1"x4" fracture approximately 6" above the waterline in way o the STBD stern shell plate. Vessel owner was permitted to effect temporary repair with a doubler plate until 31 August 2021 at which time the vessel will effect permanent repairs to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector or Vessels TPO surveyor at owner choice. TPO must submit report of repair to clear def.

Each towing vessel must be equipped with navigation lights, shapes, and sound signals in accordance with the International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) or 33 CFR part 84 as appropriate to its area of operation. Vessel does not meet 33 CFR 83.27(b) three all-around lights in a vertical line (red, white, red) and 33 CFR 83.27(b)(ii) four day shapes (3 balls, 1 diamond) to exhibit all combinations of required signals. Vessel will meet this requirement within 5 years of the issuance of the COI, unless required earlier by USCG OCMI.
