The OCMI will ensure that the vessel, as regards the structure, boilers, and other pressure vessels and their appurtenances, piping, main and auxiliary machinery, and other equipment is in satisfactory condition and fit for the service for which it is intended. The following equipment/piping was damaged after a grounding, and subsequent break-away, that led to KIRBY 27009 drifting under the empty KIRBY 10078's bow rake. -Cargo Transfer Pump and Prime Mover Drive Shaft -Relief Valve and Return Line Piping -VCS Transfer Piping -Starboard Aft Timberhead Vessel is authorized to proceed to TT 237 Port Allen Shipyard to lighter. After lightering, proceed directly to repair facility. Transit and lightering is limited to day-time operation only. Additional rounds will be conducted; all cargo valves will remain secured. All electrical power will be isolated from the barge and electrical equipment secured. All repairs shall be conducted to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector prior to departure from repair facility.
