When major alterations or major repairs of tank vessels become necessary the work shall be done under the direction of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection, and shall be in accordance with the regulations in effect for new construction insofar as possible. Several wasted external hatches on port and starboard wing voids were identified.

Oil Transfer Hose not stenciled with "Oil Service Only" and incorrect MAWP stenciled on hose. Hose was tested to 225 psi, should be stenciled for 150 psi MAWP.

Sidelight screens for port and starboard running lights are not mat black as required by Inland Navigation Rules. Paint screens mat black prior to placing barge at the head of a tow between dusk and dawn or during reduced visibility.

Make repairs to damaged timberhead at port stern. Fitting is bent upwards at appx 45 deg. angle and 50% separated from deck.

Due to deterioration of the vessel's hull plating, cargo tanks, and deck fittings; the owner/operator is required to drydock the vessel in order for a Coast Guard Marine Inspector to further assess the extent of deterioration and for the owner/operator to effect permanent repairs as required. No further cargo operations, other than tank cleaning, are permitted on the vessel.

Pressure gauge damaged on portable fire ext. required replacement.

#1 stbd cargo tank indicator bent and binds up when tested. Required replacement.

Barge is to make permanent repairs to approx. 8' x 4" longitudinal gash in slope sheet of rake at approx. 8' port of Centerline prior to loading Cargo.
