Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons onboard under normal and emergency conditions. On Tuesday October 6, 2020, vessel reported losing the starboard rudder after hitting a shoal. Replace rudder and repair to original condition.

Resolution: New rudder installed and rudder post replaced. Class approved this repair. CG reviewed the Class report.
