Required alarms in high ambient noise areas must be supplemented by visual means as rotating beacons, that are visible throughout these areas. Alarms must also be clearly distinguished. The newly installed ships service generators no not have any visual or audible alarms for overspeed, loss of L/O pressure high J/W. Ships crew have no way of knowing of an engine problem until they SSDG goes off line and the EDG kicks on line. Have SSDG's links to ships alarm system and engine room beacon light.
