Electric installations on vessels must ensure maintenance of system integrity through compliance with the applicable system requirements (IEEE, NEC, IEC, etc.) to which plan review has been approved. Three twist-on type wire connectors were observed splicing wires together on the diesel prime mover (not within an enclosure) and the Murphy ignition control enclosure was hanging loosely, supported by a wire wrapped around one of the mounting bolts.
