Propulsion machinery, including main engines, reduction gears, shafting, bearings, and electrical equipment and systems must be maintained to ensure proper operation. Vessel suffered loss of propulsion on both engines. The cause of the casualty must be determined and repairs made to the satisfaction of the Third-Party Organization prior to departure. The vessel may submit a report from the Third-Party Organization of the results to the satisfaction of the marine inspector.
