Marine Inspector observed 05 child life jackets with unsatisfactory retroreflective material. Operator to replace retroreflective material to the satisfaction of the Marine Inspector. Capacity of vessel to carry children on board to be reduced by 05 until rectified.

Primary consideration shall be given to the provision of a seaworthy hull. Marine Inspector observed significant pitting on interior of hull in forward void. Operator to conduct repairs to the satisfaction of the Marine Inspector prior to next credit dry dock.

Vessel had reported experiencing a reduction in propulsion to STBD main engine; provide root cause analysis, effect repairs, and conduct satisfactory sea trial. Vessel is prohibited from carriage of passengers. Allowed one time transit to Pier 19.

The intent of this part is to insure that the scantlings, material, fastenings, workmanship and arrangement of each vessel are such as to provide for safe operation in accordance with the terms of its certificate of inspection. MI found stress fracture weld cracks in the lazarette. Stress fractures are located on both port and starboard side strut bearing internal support aft frames. Vessel conducted satisfactory NDT dye pen test, cracks will be monitored, conduct repairs prior to next credit dry dock to satisfaction of MI.
