46 CFR 143.260 Fuel shutoff requirements.(a) This section does not apply to an excepted towing vessel as defined in § 136.110 of this subchapter.(b) To stop the flow of fuel in the event of a fire or break in the fuel line, a remote fuel shutoff valve must be fitted on any fuel line that supplies fuel directly to a propulsion engine or generator prime mover.(c) The valve must be installed in the fuel piping directly outside of the fuel oil supply tank.(d) The valve must be operable from a safe place outside the space where the valve is installed.(e) Each remote valve control must be marked in clearly legible letters, at least 25 millimeters (1 inch) high, indicating the purpose of the valve and the way to operate it. Reconfigure fuel shutoff valves in engine room at forward fuel tank and aft fuel tank.

33 CFR 101.650(d)(4) All personnel have not completed training specified in paragraphs (d)(1)(ii)through(v) of this section by January 12, 2026.

Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons on board under normal and emergency conditions. The vessel reported a shaft seal failure and subsequent loss of propulsion while underway at MM 846.5 OHR. Prove proper operation of the vessel's propulsion system prior to departure of COTP zone. 46 CFR 143.205

While underway vessel had red gear issues with port MDE. Vessel plans to be towed to local drydock for further inspection.

Provide vessel name on ring buoys IAW 46 CFR 25.

Provide proof that fixed fire fighting system for the E/R is certified IAW 46 CFR 27.

Provide nozzles for firemain system IAW 46 CFR 27.

Provide proof of FCC Radio Operator [name withheld] 33 CFR 164.

Provide/ Install proper flame screen on port forward fuel tank vent IAW 46 CFR 27.

SEWAGE BYPASS VALVE PADLOCKED IN THE OPEN POSIITON, ALLOWING UNTREATED SEWAGE TO BE DISCHARGED DIRECTLY OVERBOARD.
