Years with a record 25 calendar years (1993–2026)
Every line above is a count of records the US Coast Guard wrote, or a date it recorded. The counts in the strip above are the same counts; this table splits the inspections by the kind of activity recorded. A blank resolution means none was recorded in this data; it does not establish that a deficiency is outstanding. Years with a record are calendar years in which a record exists, not years in service. What Maury does not do.

What it gives that this page does not: the whole record in one dated, citable document — every line with its Coast Guard activity id, the retrieval date on the cover, built to print to PDF with its page breaks — that a surveyor can attach and a lender can file. The same facts as this page, complete and in one file.

Every recorded inspection, 1980 to 2026 for this class, in one chronology · every deficiency, with system, dates and resolution · operational controls imposed and removed · every name this hull has been recorded under · the vessels it was inspected alongside, and when · how its record compares with hulls of similar age and size, as a fact about the population and never a judgement about this vessel.

Read one first, in full: a forty-year chronology · a hull that changed operators four times · the sparse case, shown as an example, not for sale.

A request, not a checkout: leave an email and Maury replies once, with the dated document for this hull and a Stripe invoice for $299. Nothing is charged before the document is in your hands.

The Coast Guard recorded this vessel and the following in the same inspection activity — normally a tug and the barges in its tow. A recreational or unclassed hull in the same activity is held and not published, so it does not appear here: these lists are a floor, not a complete manifest.

10 - Safety of Navigation › N/A - No Subsystem › Lights, shapes, sound-signals
Issued 22 July 2025 Resolved
Towing vessels more than 65 feet in length must use navigation lights that meet UL 1104 (incorporated by reference, see § 136.112 of this subchapter) or other standards accepted by the Coast Guard. Vessel's STBD navigational running light bracket was broken and only secured by a line to preventing it from falling. O/O to repair/replace STBD navigational light housing assembly to satisfaction of attending marine inspector. 46CFR143.415(a)
Action required: 16 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 14 days
Due 5 August 2025
Resolved 30 July 2025
Resolution: O/O replaced stbd running light housing assembly.
13 - Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery › N/A - No Subsystem › Auxiliary engine
Issued 22 July 2025 Resolved
Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons onboard under normal and emergency conditions. Port generator battery installation was only supported by a ratchet strap leaving potential for personal safety, electrical, fire hazards should the strap fail. O/O to repair/replace mounting bracket to satisfaction of attending marine inspector. 46CFR143.205(a)
Condition: Improper Installation
Action required: 16 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 14 days
Due 5 August 2025
Resolved 30 July 2025
Resolution: O/O installed battery support bracket for port generator.
08 - Alarms › N/A - No Subsystem › Other (alarms)
Issued 27 May 2024 Resolved
Each towing vessel must perform the applicable tests in Table 143.245(b) of this section. The tests required by this section must be recorded in accordance with part 140 of this subchapter. MI observed the required testing for pressure relief valves and the main propulsion low lube oil and high jacket water alarms have not been completed. Testing of alarms is required prior to start of commercial operations.
Action required: 705 - Other - as specified
Due 27 June 2024
Resolved 2 July 2024
Resolution: Alarms satisfactorily tested, releif valves new.
11 - Life Saving Appliances › N/A - No Subsystem › Stowage and provision of liferafts
Issued 5 October 2023 Resolved
Survival craft must be stowed in accordance with the requirements of § 199.130 of this chapter, as far as is practicable on existing towing vessels. Each liferaft or group of liferafts must be arranged for float-free launching. The arrangement must ensure that the liferaft or liferafts, when released and inflated, are not dragged under by the sinking vessel. A hydrostatic release unit used in a float-free arrangement must be approved under approval series 160.162. MI observed that the vessel's survival craft was not secured to the vessel via weak link as required by installation standards. The strap securing the survival craft was not connected to the vessel via the hydrostatic release assembly.
Action required: 16 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 14 days
Due 19 October 2023
Resolved 12 October 2023
Resolution: Operator re-installed the securing strap correctly.
07 - Fire Safety › N/A - No Subsystem › Oil accumulation in engine room
Issued 5 October 2023 Resolved
All bilges and void spaces are kept free from accumulation of combustible and flammable materials and liquids insofar as practicable. MI observed fuel oil dripping from control panel in engineroom as well as excessive accumulation of lube oil in the port bilges.
Action required: 50 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 30 days
Due 5 November 2023
Resolved 14 November 2023
Resolution: MI observed that all excess oil had been cleaned up and any sources of oil within the vicinity of the power panel had been secured and monitored for leakage.
13 - Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery › N/A - No Subsystem › Other (machinery)
Issued 5 October 2023 Resolved
Each towing vessel must perform the applicable tests in Table 143.245(b) of this section. The tests required by this section must be recorded in accordance with part 140 of this subchapter. MI observed that the required testing for pressure relief valves and the main propulsion low lube oil and high jacket water alarms have not been completed. Deficiency is to be cleared prior to next Credit Drydock.
Action required: 705 - Other - as specified
Resolved 27 June 2024
Resolution: A technician has been contacted to complete testing in Sector Boston. Issued credit drydock and reissued deficiency as prior to commercial operations.

Ownership record

The Coast Guard's documentation record for this hull -- the Abstract of Title, with its owners and liens as filed -- is not in PSIX. Ask, and Maury buys it from the National Vessel Documentation Center, files it here with its date, and every reader of this page gets it.
