Each towing vessel must have either a self-priming, power-driven, fixed fire pump, a fire main, and hoses and nozzles in accordance with paragraphs (a) through (d) of this section; or a portable pump, and hoses and nozzles, in accordance with paragraphs (e) and (f) of this section. CG MI observed 42 psi with two FF hoses discharging from the main fixed fire pump, did not make 50psi as required by 46 CFR 142.325(a)(1). Existing pump to be upgraded, and verified compliant by an attending CG MI on or before July 1, 2026.
