Propulsion machinery, including main engines, reduction hears, shafting, bearings, and electrical equipment and systems must be maintained to ensure proper operations. Vessel reported a loss of power in their #2 generator which resulted in a loss of power and steering until the back up generator came on-line. Rectify issues with #2 generator and submit paperwork to the Coast Guard attesting to proper operations.
