Each towing vessel must be maintained and operated so as to minimize fire hazards and to ensure all bilges are kept free from accumulation of flammable liquids. The Center Fuel Suction (#8) remote shut off valve (on the port side of the engine room) leaks fuel from the release piston (only when activated). When not activated, no fuel leak is present. Repair valve to ensure no fuel leaks from any component.

Replace the 02 CO2 extinguishers with 02 40-B portable fire extinguishers in the engine room.
