Periodic tests and inspection shall be made of the main and auxiliary machinery, boilers...the inspection and tests shall insure that the equipment and associated structure are in satisfactory operating conditions. Internal inspection of thermal fluid heater installed on board showed cracked/broken off refractory and missing insulation required for safe operation of the boiler. Make permanent repairs to boiler via boiler tech within 3 weeks and submit repair report to CG MI at completion.
