Vessels described in Table 136.260 of this section that operate outside the Boundary Lines, are subject to load line requirements in Subchapter E of this chapter. The subject vessel required an equivalency from MSC (letter H2-2503056 of 9/19/2025) in order to receive a full-term stability letter and load line certificate. One condition of the equivalency was installation of an audible and visual alarm in the pilothouse to indicate when the lazarette hatch was open. Currently when the lazarette hatch is opened, the "day tank fuel level low" alarm is activated. Correct the wiring/programming to provide the correct/accurate alarm at the pilothouse.
