Each marine diesel engine with a power output of more than 130 kW installed on a ship shall comply with this regulation. For those engines which have not been adjusted or modified relative to the original specification of the manufacturer, the provision of a valid EIAPP Certificate should suffice to demonstrate compliance with the applicable NOx limits. Vessel's keel laid date and diesel engine power output require an EIAPP certificate for the two diesel engines for the cargo pumps. No evidence of valid EIAPP certificates for these engines was available at the time of the inspection.
