Vsl reported a loss of propulsion. Fuel filters found with excessive build up due to lack of maintenance. SMS speaks to changing of fuel filters but gives no requirement on how often, recommend defer to manufacturer recommendation. Propulsion machinery must be maintained to ensure proper operation.
