Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel. When energizing the port Generator for maintenance a fire was identified in the generator set. Prior to Movement the generator and GENSET are to be repaired/replaced and tested to the satisfaction of Class and the Cognizant [name withheld] of class report to be provided to Sector Corpus Christi OCMI.
Action required: 60 - Rectify deficiencies prior to movement

Resolution: Replaced number 2 SSDG with new John Deere prime mover and gen set.
