All Types I,II, and III barges shall comply with the basic structural requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping for barges of the ordinary types and the applicable supplementary requirements of this section. Vessel sustained damage on the port side above the waterline in the vicinity of the #3 void. Vessel is to not engage in cargo operations prior to permanent repairs.

The cargo tank safety relief valves shall be inspected at least once in every 2 years.(b) The safety relief valve discs must be lifted from their seats in the presence of a marine inspector by either liquid, gas, or vapor pressure at least once every 5 years to determine the accuracy of adjustment and, if necessary, must be reset. Vsl currently used for Grade D/E cargo and has gooseneck and flame screen ventilation installed. Prior to the carriage of any cargoes requiring the use of PV valves per this vsl's CAA inspected PV valves need to be installed and to the satisfaction of the Marine inspector. 46CFR38.25-10(a)(b)
