Vessel’s crew must remove all items blocking the fire stations, keep all locks off preventing the fire stations from being readily accessible, and ensure all fire stations are working properly. The 160-B semi portable fire-extinguisher was stored on the aft 01 deck. During the assessment of the hose length to determine its reach throughout the engine room, it was found that the hose barely extended to the aft entrance on the upper deck of the engine room hatch.
