Regardless of the option chosen to obtain a COI, upon obtaining a COI, each towing vessel must then undergo a dry dock and internal structural exam at the following intervals: A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than 6 months in an 12 month period must undergo a dry dock and internal structural examination at least twice every 5 years, with not more than 36 months in between examinations. Vessel is overdue for dry dock inspection, invalidating vessel's COI. Rectify prior to conducting towing (pulling, pushing, or hauling alongside) operations. 46 CFR 137.300(a)(1)

The total relieving capacity of relief valves must prevent pressure from exceeding the MAWP, as established by the manufacturer, by more than 10 percent.P ressure relief valves on the 150 MAWP tanks were set at 180 and 200. One of the tanks did not have a gauge.
