The owner or managing operator shall notify the cognizant OCMI as far in advance as possible whenever a vessel is to be hauled out or placed in a drydock or slip way to undergo repairs or alterations affecting the safety of the vessel. Vessel noticed excessive water in the bilge on 25AUG2023, hulled out the vessel at its facility and noticed a crack near the #2 Main engines sea strainer. Vessel cropped out damaged area and notified the OCMI on 28AUG2023 without having a repair plan proposal approval. Submit repair plan proposal to the local [name withheld] repair plan proposal is approved, make effect repairs to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector.
